“Serving the Church since 33 AD” Liturgical lay ministries include lectors who proclaim the readings, altar servers and acolytes who assist the presider at the altar, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion who serve during Mass and/or who take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound, ushers who direct the seating and procession of the assembly and greeters.
